Red Army Medals And Awards System

Creation

During the Red vs Blue Wars, a proposition for an award and medal system was brought forth by Cody S 117 to xXRazGriz. After discussing the idea, and working out how it would be put into service, the pair took the idea to the rest of the Red Leaders who approved the idea. Taking on the project, Cody S 117 started work on the list of medals to be created. Medals could be earned for performance on the battlefield (for fighting achievements) and off (for more administrative things such as promotional items and forum graphics). Once this outline was completed, the actual artwork for the medals started, taking real military medals for assorted millitaries world wide, and adjusting them to fit the Red Army. After this process, a template for a congragulatory letter was made and as the war started, the system was put in service.

Usage

During the wars that RAMASS was active, many medals were given out to numerous Red Soldiers for actions both during battles and for forum graphic and promotional work. After Sunday battles, Cody S 117 would download and view the postgame reports from each battle this week, look at any medal nomination letters, and check for recent work done on the forum, before making a list of people who may be eligable for a medal. Once a basic list was made, he then would compare each person's achievements with the medal criteria until the list was done, and the medals assigned. After the recipients were decided, messages were sent out to everyone including the medal, a congragulatory message, and userbar. The userbars were a huge hit as Red Soldiers could now sow off their achievements.

Termination

As the Red vs Blue Wars came to a close, RAMASS was terminated in hops that a newer, more improved system would be created. Alas, Cody S 117 left shortly after due to personal reasons, and RAMASS left with him. To this day, all the RAMASS data and workings are still preserved and now have been brought back out in hopes of re-creating the once effective, and, as many would call "Fun" system. The newest version of RAMASS has yet to been completed.

Medal of Honor: To receive the Medal of Honor, a member of Red Army must go above and beyond the call of duty in the Forerunner Conflict wars either in or out of battle. This must be done in a positive, constructive way that helps the community in a very noticeable and effective way. Examples are defending a flag alone for a sustained period of time, or creating and running an effective program within the wars.

Bronze Star: Yet smaller than the Silver Star medal, this is given to members of the Red Army who have excelled in all aspects of the battle or dominating in one field.
