On the warm, one-hundred degree weather, zZ Dr K Zz joined a custom match for a “boot camp” as they called it. Want to know why? He joined that room on that boiling day in order to find something more interesting to play other than matchmaking or MLG custom matches all of the time. My recent most dominate, infamous clans disbanded: A SiC TeaM and LTK.

He fired up his Original Xbox and watched as that familiar green X form a green crater in the blackness of his Toshiba television screen. He sat in the lobby which contained his recruiter Chef Bodrick and the all known too well xX RazGriz. He watched as the countdown on the screen went from ten seconds to zero seconds and then the blue screen appeared which loaded all of the graphics that were contained on Blood Gulch.

He clutched his controller tightly as the running on laps seemed to go on for ages and as he formed a bead of sweat on his forehead the laps finally ended. The leaders order all of the recruits to go to the middle of the map where he crouched and un-crouched. A “Halo” envisioned salute to them. xX Razgriz went down the line asking all of the recruits what army they favor to be in and when they finally came upon zZ Dr K Zz, he said, “I want to join blue army.”

“Why do you favor blue?” xX Razgriz replied. Kevin was taking aback by this and he came up with the stupid reply, “I….I just like the color, sir.” He felt his face turn red in embarrassment and was about to leave the game as xX Razgriz turned around to face the other leaders. He repeated to them “He wants to join blue because he likes the color.” The leaders looked at each other and then started laughing at the reply and zZ Dr K Zz felt the redness appear from his face and a sense of relief started to creep in.

With those laughs, he knew that he was in the newly created war-sim Red Vs Blue and accepted as a funny recruit. He was going to have to earn their respect though.

And he did. He fought in battle after battle while wearing a fresh new coat of blue paint and he felt pride rise in him for every battle that he had one. Red after red fell down to their knees when he faced them as his Battle Rifle ripped through their armor, flesh, and bone. After two battles he was a seasoned soldier and he had to wipe the dried up red blood from his armor. He served for the first war of which he won without losing a single battle that he was involved in. He retired at the rank of Sergeant Major in late January of 2007. A person asked him later that month on the forums, “What rank were you before you retired?”

He replied to him, “A Sergeant Major.” The person replied back, “Wow! You had that low of rank and you’re the most respected person around here.” zZ Dr K Zz felt a smile cross over his face as he read the reply and understood that this war-sim wasn’t about what rank you had, but the amount of respect that you gained.

He later joined the wars in June of 2008 to aid Blue Team in the Forerunner Conflict 2 war. He joined up with Fear Squad(as squad that was a force to be reckoned with). With the aid of his close friend and companion Killadawg and with newly found teammates LocoCrazy and Kratos Andminion, they began to win major battles for Blue Army. They ran through the Red Army with bullets pounded their shields, but they didn’t flinch, nor did they lose their focus or stride. They stood their ground, facing death and laughing straight in his face as they unloaded their weapons on the Red team and took them down. When a former Fear Squad member was about to be taking down another stood in front of him with full shields in order to protect him until his shields recharged.

They may have won that battle, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough in the end to win the War against red. I can guarantee you this, however, Blue Army inflicted heavy damage to the Red Army and Fear Squad as well as many others showed that they would be an extremely tough opponent in the next war.

zZ Dr K Zz retired again a few weeks after the third war started, knowing with confindence that his beloved Blue Army was back on its feet and they could handle themselves without him.

Nowadays, he stays on the forums creating signatures and wallpapers and aiding wherever he can, whenever he can on the forums. He is now known as the Dark Knight of Forerunner Conflict.

He may return to the battlefield in the next war.
